The main building is Victorian
neo-gothic and was the home of the Croft family until 1921 when Mr.
A.C Rutherford bought an established school which had been in Bognor
Regis since 1900, and prior to that, from 1875 in Brighton, to Sompting
Abbotts. The school flourished, but in 1940 it was evacuated to Cabalva
on the Welsh border, and in 1942, on death of Mr. Rutherford, ceased
to exist.
After the war the school was re-established by Mr. and Mrs. A.D
Sinclair and continues as a family concern with all members taking
a very active role in school
life.
